Plans

Do I need separate plans for accounting, leasing and maintenance?

No — every Kompas subscription gives you access to all of the core platform features: accounting, payments, lease management, maintenance and the tenant portal. There is no accounting plan to add and no maintenance add-on to buy, so nothing you need is discovered behind a paywall after go-live. What differs between plans is the open API and custom integrations, which sit on the Fleet tier, and the level of service attached to the subscription.

How is Kompas priced — per unit or per user?

Kompas is priced per unit, based on the number of units in your portfolio, not per seat. Adding a user costs nothing, so the size of your bill tracks the portfolio you manage rather than how many people touch the platform. Subscriptions are billed monthly by pre-authorized debit on a minimum one-year term, and a quarterly true-up adjusts the subscription up or down based on the active units on the platform.

How long is the subscription term?

Kompas subscriptions run for a minimum of one year. That reflects what a proper start actually involves: a review of your business process, a merchant application, a data migration off your existing system and up to six hours of training, all led by a CPA on the Kompas side. Billing within the term is monthly rather than annual upfront, and your subscription is trued up quarterly as your active unit count changes.

What actually differs between Explorer, Navigator and Fleet?

All three tiers include every core platform feature — accounting, payments, lease management, maintenance and the tenant portal — so the difference is not which functions you can use. What changes is access to the open API and custom integrations, available on Fleet, and the level of service attached to the subscription: the premium tier carries a 24-business-hour support response commitment. Explorer is the entry tier, Navigator the middle, Fleet the premium.

What happens to my pricing if my portfolio grows or shrinks?

Your subscription is trued up every quarter, up or down, based on the number of active units on the platform. Buy a building in February and the increase lands at the next quarterly true-up rather than requiring a new contract; sell one and your subscription comes down the same way. Because pricing is per unit and users are unlimited, hiring, restructuring your team or bringing on third-party leasing agents changes nothing about what you pay.

Do I pay more to add users, leasing agents or maintenance staff?

No — Kompas gives you unlimited users on every plan at no additional cost. That includes third-party leasing agents you share live inventory with and maintenance staff you assign service tickets to, so there is no internal debate about who is worth a seat. As administrator you control roles, permissions and which segment of the portfolio each person sees, meaning access is granted by responsibility rather than rationed by budget.

Is the premium support response time a plan feature or part of the service?

Support tier is part of the service rather than a platform feature — every subscription gives you the same functionality. The premium tier carries a 24-business-hour response commitment on support requests, which is a service level rather than a function you unlock. Standard support across all plans runs 9 to 5 EST, Monday to Friday, by phone, email and online ticketing, plus AI-powered live chat that escalates to a real person when it cannot answer.

Is the tenant portal included, or is it an add-on?

The tenant portal is included in every Kompas subscription, alongside accounting, payments, lease management and maintenance. Pricing is per unit rather than per user or per portal login, so inviting tenants does not move your bill. You decide which entities, buildings or individual tenants get access — it is strictly invite-only — and invitations can be sent in bulk by entity, by building or by criteria you set yourself.
