The inspector is not filling a paper form and transcribing it at a desk afterward. The workflow needs a network or Wi-Fi connection to run, which is worth knowing before inspecting somewhere with no signal.

  How do I know when a move-in or move-out inspection needs to happen?

  Kompas creates them for you. A move-in inspection is generated when a new lease is executed in the system, and a move-out inspection when a tenant notifies you that they are leaving. You are not maintaining a separate calendar of inspection dates alongside your lease dates, and an inspection does not get missed because the lease was signed by someone in another office.
