Why we’re hiring this role

Kompas is a next-generation property management and accounting platform built for modern real estate operators. We pair accounting-grade accuracy with software people actually enjoy using — for property managers, residents, and owners alike.

We already have the go-to-market strategy and a strong brand foundation. What we need now is someone to bring that brand to life consistently, across every channel, and to own how it looks while doing it.

We’re backed by Canadian Government funding specifically to take our go-to-market execution to the next level. In practice, that means a real budget for tooling, training, and coaching — and a mandate to build something rather than just keep the lights on.

Who we’re looking for

You’re the relatively rare marketer who can write the post and design it. You’ve likely been the person on a small team who ended up doing a bit of everything — the copy, the layout, a quick video edit — and got genuinely good at all of it.

You want a brand you can put your fingerprints on, not a style guide to police. And if you’ve been boxed in as “the writer” or “the designer” when you’re clearly more than either, this is the role that lets you use the whole toolkit.

What you’ll own

  • Content across LinkedIn (our primary channel), the blog, email newsletters, and campaign emails
  • The visual side of all of it — on-brand graphics, carousels, email layouts, and resource design
  • Gated resources: guides, checklists, and one-pagers, from concept through final layout
  • Light video — short clips, customer testimonials, basic edits
  • Repurposing long-form work into everything it can reasonably become
  • The content calendar and a publishing cadence people can count on
  • Campaign execution in HubSpot — building and running the email and social campaigns behind our lead generation
  • Support for launches, webinars, and announcements

You’ll also have a seat in our go-to-market strategy discussions. Your input shapes the plan — you’re not just handed the output of it.

What you’ll bring

  • 3–5 years in content, brand, or creative marketing. If you’re closer to 2 but your portfolio makes the case, apply anyway.
  • A portfolio showing both sides — the writing and the design. We want to see the actual work.
  • Hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, Adobe, or equivalent
  • Strong copywriting and editing instincts
  • Experience building and running campaigns in a marketing platform — HubSpot ideally
  • Working English is essential. French is a genuine asset here, but not a requirement.

Nice to have

  • B2B and/or SaaS background
  • Comfort with AI tools — we fund them, we use them, and we want you experimenting

What this role is (and isn’t)

It is: execution-focused, design-driven, high-ownership, and genuinely involved in strategy.

It isn’t: a paid media role — you won’t own ad spend. It isn’t strategy-only, and it isn’t a people-management role.

Compensation & benefits

  • $75,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
  • Health and dental benefits
  • RRSP matching program
  • Annual wellness allowance
  • Annual professional development allowance, plus dedicated mentoring and coaching
  • 4 weeks paid vacation
  • Indoor parking or public transit reimbursement
  • Hybrid schedule — 3 days per week in our Montreal office

Why people like working here

  • Clear direction and clear expectations — you’ll always know what good looks like
  • Real mentorship and professional development, funded and prioritized
  • Marketing and sales genuinely aligned on one Rev-Ops team
  • High ownership, low bureaucracy — you ship without a committee
  • A growing SaaS brand you can help shape rather than inherit
  • Work that is visible, valued, and has an obvious impact

How to apply

Send us your resume along with a portfolio or a handful of work samples — a LinkedIn post you wrote and designed, a resource you laid out, a video you cut. Anything you’re proud of. We care far more about the work than the cover letter.

Our process: intro call → meet the team → a short paid creative exercise → decision. We aim to move quickly and to give you a clear answer either way.
